London Office Access Control

This project involved Prestige Security Solutions providing a unique solution for an access control solution to a newly refurbished office in London.

This was a very enjoyable project for us, all the doors were APG glass with very slim line frames resulting in very little space for a card reader or emergency break glass unit to be installed. We proposed to install a slim line maglock to each of the doors then bond the armature plate to the glass door using an extremely high strength adhesive. The next challenge was to find a suitable mounting solution for the card readers. Our proposal was to mount the entry and exit reader with the internal break glass unit onto a reader pedestal. We matched these modern looking pedestals to the RAL colour of customer’s new walls and frames with a powder coated finish.

All cables were routed under the timber floor via the floor data boxes back to the door controllers that were wall mounted in one location.

This was a perfect solution for the interior design of the building, which was extremely well received by our client. We have since expanded the number of doors on this system for our client.
